Summer Concerts

American rhythms, big screen sounds, the soundtrack to Bohemia, Mozart’s world, musicals and percussive acrobatics are all on offer: every Saturday, a Summer Concert waits to take you on a musical adventure. The Tonkunstler Orchestra and other leading ensembles present a range of exciting programmes and are joined by an exclusive line-up of classical soloists. Spend your summer Saturdays in the unique setting of the castle grounds and enjoy music in the heart of nature.

Midsummer Night’s Gala

A spectacular start to the summer in Grafenegg: the world stars of classical music under the night sky on stage at the Wolkenturm. Enjoy great works performed by outstanding vocal soloists, Rudolf Buchbinder and the Tonkunstler Orchestra under its Music Director Yutaka Sado. As is tradition, this atmos- pheric evening concludes with a firework display to Edward Elgar’s «Pomp and Circumstance».

Grafenegg Festival

Grafenegg's absolute music highlight, the Grafenegg Festival, let's you enjoy world-class orchestras conducted by grand masters such as Valery Gergiev, Semyon Bychkov or Daniel Harding at the Wolkenturm and the Auditorium. Let artists such as Diana Damrau, Piotr Beczała, Virtuose Maxim Vengerov or Rudolf Buchbinder fill the castle grounds with melodies from the greatest classical works there are. What a perfectly sound summer!

Grafenegg Campus

The Grafenegg Campus is a unique programme for young people that supports and develops excellence in music: rehearsals in the castle, concerts at the Wolkenturm, in the Auditorium and in the Reitschule. Not to mention workshops with renowned artists, discussions and master classes. Visit our composing atelier INK STILL WET or listen in as the musicians of the European Union Youth Orchestra and the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Lower Austria get to work!
