Festival Weekend 4

The fourth and final Festival weekend will take place from 4 September to 8 September 2024. For the opening of the last Festival weekend, we welcome the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra with Christian Thielemann at the Wolkenturm.

On 6 September, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Antonello Manacorda will perform Antonín Dvořák's popular symphony «From the New World» in Grafenegg.

The Sächsische Staatskappelle Dresden and Daniele Gatti can be heard in two concerts in Grafenegg: On 7 September 2024 and at the Festival finale the following day, when they will close the Grafenegg Festival 2024 together with Rudolf Buchbinder.

A special highlight is the matinee on the last day of the Festival, 8 September 2024: Michael Tilson Thomas' melodrama «From the Diary of Anne Frank» with Ruth Brauer-Kvam as narrator will be performed for the first time in German in the Auditorium.
