31 March to 2 April 2018

At Easter 2018, Grafenegg invites you to its first annual Spring Event. In the refined atmosphere of Schloss Grafenegg and its idyllic Park, experience the most beautiful aspects of the spring. World-class symphonic concerts and performances by audience favourites from film and television such as Herbert Föttinger, actor and director of the Theater in der Josefstadt, all invited by the broadcaster ORF Niederösterreich, are the cornerstones of the new event at Grafenegg.  The seasonal market offers everything from the finest arts and crafts to a diverse garden and plant range, complemented by garden know-how classes, including by the Radio NÖ gardeners Franz Gabesam and Johannes Käfer. In the «So schmeckt Niederösterreich» («Taste of Lower Austria») village, visitors can enjoy regional delicacies. In the cooking show, chef Toni Mörwald presents his latest suggestions for spring dishes for you to enjoy.

The Easter theme is the thread running through each of the four days of the event. Liturgical reflections on Good Friday put you in the right mood for the holidays. Other items are a liturgy and an Easter bonfire on Easter Sunday and a Frühschoppen (morning drink) on Easter Monday with Militärmusik Niederösterreich, the band of the Austrian military, and the Music Club of Etsdorf-Haitzendorf. Colourful presentations on local customs offer insights into ancient traditions. There are singing and dancing workshops and other activities for families with children to round off the programme.
