The European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA) was founded in 2004 on the initiative of Hatto Beyerle and sees itself as one of Europe's most important workshops for young and professional chamber music ensembles. President of the ECMA is Mathias Deichmann; Hatto Beyerle and Johannes Meissl are the Artistic Directors of the European Chamber Music Academy.
Within the framework of a cooperation between European educational institutions and festivals, including Grafenegg in 2015, selected chamber music ensembles are offered a two-year training programme. The training period takes place in the newly-adapted rehearsal rooms of Grafenegg Castle. Audiences will be given the opportunity to witness the successful outcome in three concerts including a BEST OF CHAMBER MUSIC 4.0 with your favourite participating ensembles.
