Introduction/abstract

Il Giardino Armonico · Nicolas Altstaedt · Giovanni Antonini

TELEMANN · BACH · HAYDN

Il Giardino Armonico bring the vitality of the Baroque to Grafenegg, with Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos mediating between past and future. Giovanni Antonini has long been admired for his sensual, naturalistic interpretations and virtuoso flute playing, evidenced here in Telemann’s flute suite, while Haydn’s Cello Concerto opens up a vista onto the new epoch of classical music.
