Bruckner’s Symphony No. 2 was long declined before its breakthrough courtesy of the Vienna Philharmonic. The Belgian Philippe Herreweghe, expert in historical performance practice, conducts at Grafenegg with the Orchestre des ChampsÉlysées. He brings with him Carolin Widmann and cellist Christian Poltéra for an interpretation of Brahms’ Double Concerto.
