A day full of music

Music is in the air
Grafenegg Castle Grounds

Music is in the air in Grafenegg. If you stroll through the spacious castle grounds, you will hear it at every turn - even away from the concert days - because the singing of the birds is part of the familiar background music of every visit to Grafenegg. The musical programme of the festival extends from the lark to the nightingale. The culmination is always the exhilarating evening concert at the Wolkenturm, which can also be enjoyed from the lawn on a picnic blanket. A series of other events leads up to it or - in the case of the Late Night Sessions - extends beyond it. The musical offer is particularly dense on the four festival Sundays.

MATINEE IN THE AUDITORIUM

A musical start to the day. The best way to start a Festival Sunday is a matinee in the outstanding acoustics of the Auditorium.

MUSIC IN THE PARK

Listen while you stroll. Every Sunday during the Grafenegg Festival, the ensembles of Campus Grafenegg make the Park their stage.

PRELUDE IN THE CASTLE COURTYARD

Concert as aperitif. At the weekend, the afternoon concerts are overtures, or jazzy intros, to the evening concerts.

PRE-CONCERT TALK IN THE REITSCHULE

Insights into the evening programme. Before each evening concert, experts give insights and explain the contexts.

EVENING CONCERT AT THE WOLKENTURM

Great orchestras in a unique setting. At the Wolkenturm, sound meets scenery: this architectural icon of Grafenegg is the podium for the finest orchestras and artists.

LATE NIGHT SESSION IN THE REITSCHULE

Conclude the evening in a relaxed atmosphere. On selected evenings, concerts go into extra time for night owls.
