The Grafenegg Festival has been developed from a project by the Head of Regional Government for Lower Austria, Dr. Erwin Pröll. It is organised by Grafenegg Kulturbetriebsges.m.b.H, a public-private partnership within the Lower Austrian arts industry, consisting of the Mettenich-Sándor family, the Lower Austrian Hypo Holding Company and the municipalities Grafenegg and Grafenwörth.
