Description
When members of the Vienna and Berlin Philharmonic meet, sparks fly! As Philharmonix, the seven world-class musicians play what is otherwise never on the concert programme of their orchestras. In brilliant new versions, they bring fresh, original sides to hits from numerous genres. The sound aesthetics and traditions of their orchestras always characterise the arrangements. The Viennese Thilo Fechner (viola), Daniel Ottensamer (clarinet) and Ödön Rácz (double bass) as well as the Berliners Stephan Koncz (cello) and Noah Bendix-Balgley (violin) always find the right tone with Christoph Traxler (piano) and arrangement mastermind Sebastian Gürtler (violin). The fact that the Philharmonix have now recorded four albums speaks for itself.
