Heart of Europe
With «Heart of Europe», Grafenegg and the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO) are launching a new festival at the centre of the summer season. Top young musicians from all 27 EU member states guarantee a true festival atmosphere in Grafenegg and create a unique meeting place for music, dialogue, and the future of Europe, right in the geographical centre of the continent.
The EUYO is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading youth orchestras. Over more than five decades, it has built an outstanding reputation through award-winning performances and international tours. Together with its music director Iván Fischer, the orchestra will celebrate what unites Europe across three festival weekends, with concerts, talks, and panel discussions, plus a supporting programme during the week.
«I trust the young. They will change the world.»
