Ink Still Wet

Every year, the Composer in Residence transforms the composer-conductor workshop INK STILL WET into a laboratory of sound.

In the composer-conductor-workshop INK STILL WET, young musicians learn alongside Composer in Residence Ryan Wigglesworth  and the Tonkunstler Orchestra.

The emerging composers can apply to Grafenegg with a score; suitable applicants will be selected to take part in the workshop. A perfect choice as mentor, Wigglesworth’s own practice as a composer is deeply informed by his conducting work, and vice versa.

The Tonkunstler Orchestra will work closely with the Composer in Residence and the workshop participants to bring the works to a successful premiere. You can hear the results of this in a major concluding concert in the Auditorium. Admission is free.
