Öffentliche Probe

After 20 years of building and developing Grafenegg into a successful festival venue, the time has come: as a natural next step in the evolution of the Grafenegg Academy Orchestra, the Grafenegg Festival Orchestra will be formed in 2027. Alongside experienced top musicians from across Europe and beyond, outstanding young musicians at the beginning of their careers will take their place on the same stage. Youthful energy and drive, combined with experience and maturity, create ideal conditions for outstanding artistic achievements. Conductor Vladimir Jurowski will shape the Grafenegg Festival Orchestra as its defining artistic personality. Music director of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich and chief conductor of the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, he is regarded as one of the great interpreters and orchestra builders of our time. Audiences in Grafenegg will now have the chance to experience for themselves why his rehearsals in Berlin and Munich, in which he also engages directly with the audience, have achieved legendary status.
