Tastenzauber

Twenty-five-year-old Alexander Malofeev has evolved from a child prodigy into a virtuoso of rare stature, combining exceptional stylistic mastery with profound musicality: a perfect choice for Tchaikovsky’s famous, rapturous Piano Concerto in B-flat minor. In its euphoric passages, it recalls Beethoven’s ecstatic Seventh Symphony, one of the most frequently performed works in the history of our orchestera in residence. At the helm of the Tonkunstler Orchestra is the Finnish conductor Eva Ollikainen, born in Espoo in 1982, former chief conductor of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. One of the most sought-after conductors of her generation, she guarantees a magnificent concert evening filled with powerful, richly resonant sound.
