Description
Bruckner or Brass? Choosing is unimaginable! No wonder the Vienna Brass Connection is celebrating Anton Bruckner's 200th birthday so extensively - the members of this extraordinary ensemble play in top international orchestras such as Vienna, Salzburg, Munich, and Cologne, and know the composer's symphonies intimately. Although professionally scattered throughout the continent, all share a long-standing friendship and wide-ranging musical interest, which is probably the secret of their success. Their new programme with music by Bruckner, Richard Strauss, Giacomo Puccini, John Williams, Billy Joel, and others reflects «the whole spectrum of life», as they cheekily remark: «sometimes loud, sometimes quiet, sometimes cheerful and sometimes sad, sometimes high, sometimes low, sometimes Bruckner, and so on.»
